Drawing a parallel with Delhi liquor case, Reddy claimed that his admin had taken a completely opposite approach
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday dismissed the alleged liquor scam as a fabricated attempt to deflect attention from the ongoing case against Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Reddy alleged that the case—filed against Naidu for irregularities during his previous tenure (2014—2019), for which he is currently out on bail—is being deliberately undermined through the creation of a false narrative.
Calling the liquor scam "cooked-up", the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief said there was neither evidence nor a money trail to support the allegations. He accused the coalition government led by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) of using the case to harass political opponents and former officials under the guise of investigation.
Drawing a comparison to the Delhi liquor scam involving Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Reddy claimed his administration had taken a completely opposite approach.
