ECI to resolve issue of duplication of voter card numbers within 3 months

In the wake of criticism from Opposition parties, including Congress, over the duplication in Election Photo Identity Card (EPIC) numbers, the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Friday said this "long-pending" issue will be resolved within the next three months.
The poll panel said it has already taken cognisance of the matter, which was recently raised, among others, by West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee.
