Inspired by the vision and successful implementation of Sebaashray 2 in Diamond Harbour under the leadership of MP Abhishek Banerjee, Barrackpore MP Partha Bhowmick has also announced the launch of a similar initiative for his constituency.

The announcement came after the Barrackpore MP visited Diamond Harbour to see for himself how the model is working.

The programme, aimed at delivering accessible and compassionate healthcare to citizens at their doorstep, is likely to begin from 5 January, 2026, starting from Halisahar inthe Bijpur Assembly segment.

During his recent visit to the Sebaashray 2 camp in Diamond Harbour, the MP observed and witnessed how the model has transformed primary and specialist healthcare delivery by prioritising service over politics.

The programme's focus on empathy-driven governance, seamless access to specialist consultations, and proactive outreach has been widely praised as a benchmark in constituency-level welfare.
