IPL: Buttler blows away RCB bowling, powers Titans to victory

Jos Buttler led the way with an unbeaten half-century as Gujarat Titans defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by eight wickets in their IPL 2025 clash at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday.

Buttler was the top scorer with a sizzling knock of 73 runs off just 39 deliveries and the Titans chased down the 170-run target in 17.5 overs. The England star took the RCB bowlers to the cleaners, with five hits to the fence and six maximums studding his innings.

In-form opener Sai Sudharsan had put the visitors' innings on a firm footing with another excellent knock which spanned 39 deliveries but was unlucky to miss out on a seventh consecutive IPL half-century by just a single run.

Impact player Sherfane Rutherford also played a useful cameo by scoring 30 off 18 deliveries, hitting three sixes and a boundary along the way.

Earlier, Liam Livingstone, Jitesh Sharma and Tim David played handy knocks to lead an RCB revival as the hosts posted 169/8 in their 20 overs.
