Police today arrested another student of the Jadavpur University in connection with the incident of arson at an office of Sikhsha bandhu samity, the employees' organisation affiliated to the Trinamul Congress during the ruckus on the university campus of the University on 1 March.
The student arrested was identified as Souptik Chandra — a second year student of Civil engineering of the University. Chandra, along with some of his fellow students, had been summoned for interrogation at the Jadavpur police station. He had been arrested following the interrogation today, sources at Jadavpur police station said.
