Security forces and Manipur Police carried out a series of operations across the state on 11 and 12 June, leading to the recovery of arms, ammunition and military equipment, the arrest of active militant cadres, and the seizure of narcotic substances, police today said.

On 11 June, security forces recovered a cache of incriminating articles from Heirok Part-II, Mayai Leikai area under Heirok Police Station in Thoubal district. The recovered items included one .32 pistol with magazine, two single-barrel breech-loading (SBBL) guns, 71 live rounds of ammunition of different calibres, two tear smoke shells (SR), 12 KCP logo stickers, 14 bulletproof plates, one bulletproof jacket
