Republic Day Celebrated Across Institutions in Odisha

Republic Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervor across multiple institutions in Odisha.

Republic Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervor by NALCO across its various establishments. Brijendra Pratap Singh, CMD, unfurled the Tricolour at NALCO's Corporate Office in Bhubaneswar and emphasized the need to uphold the values in the Constitution.

At the MCL headquarters in Sambalpur, the National Flag was unfurled by Uday Anant Kaole, CMD and highlighted the invaluable contributions of coal miners in ensuring the country's energy security. Keshav Rao, Director (Personnel), Shri PK Patel, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), and AK Behura, Director (Finance), were present among the senior officers of the company at the celebrations.

Similar Republic Day celebrations were organised across MCL's operational areas and units in the districts of Angul, Jharsuguda, and Sundargarh in Odisha.

Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) celebrated Republic Day with Alok Verma, director in-charge unfurling the National Flag and speaking about the achievements of the plant as well as future prospects. He emphasized the need to act now to achieve the ambitious goal of exceeding 9 million tons of annual production. This expansion will double the plant's capacity and bring progress and prosperity to the region, he said.

Present on both the occasions were Mrs. Namrata Verma, President (Deepika Mahila Sanghati) and all senior officers of RSP.

NTPC Talcher Kaniha celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm. Addressing the gathering A K Sehgal, head of the project said NTPC has been powering the nation and the Talcher Kaniha unit has contributed in a big way. Tanvi Sangam, Ladies club of NTPC Kaniha distributed winter clothes, GEM students received bicycles, music systems were distributed to villagers, and several awards and certificates were presented to recognize excellence in various categories, including best employee, best student, teachers, CISF personnel, security staff, and best employee of the year.
