Parliament witnessed a fresh round of confrontation between the Opposition parties and the ruling side on Monday, as differences emerged over the priority of the order of the agenda to be taken up for discussion.

While the Opposition insisted on debating the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in Bihar first, the ruling side pushed for a discussion on Operation Sindoor, a recent military operation in response to a terrorist attack.

The Lok Sabha eventually started the debate on Operation Sindoor, but not before two mid-proceeding adjournments amid opposition demand to initiate discussion on the SIR exercise before taking up any other issue.
