Kin of J-K terror victims blame govt, question security lapses

It is unfortunate, but politics has begun in right earnest over the Kashmir terror attack, after the return of the dead bodies of terror victims and their families to Karnataka on Thursday.

But the words of state governor Thawarchand Gahlot or Chief Minister S Siddaramaiah failed to assuage the grief of the families of the deceased in the terror attack.

On Thursday, both chief minister and the governor visited the homes of the victims and met the members of the grieving families.

One thing the victims' families are sure of and are not mincing words—that the government failed miserably to provide security to the tourists, and more importantly in preventing such a thing from happening.

The father of Bharat Bhushan, the 41-year-old techie from Bangalore who was killed, Chennaveerappa, felt that there should have been better security arrangements.
