IPL 2025: Capitals thrash Super Giants in low-scoring encounter

An excellent display of pace bowling by Mukesh Kumar coupled with quickfire half-centuries by KL Rahul and Abishek Porel enabled Delhi Capitals to steamroll Lucknow Super Giants by eight wickets in a gripping Indian Premier League (IPL) encounter at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium here on Tuesday.
With Delhi skipper Axar Patel asking LSG to bat first, Mukesh Kumar made excellent use of the conditions to return figures of 4/33 as the hosts were restricted to 159/6 in their 20 overs.
Mukesh's victims included in-form West Indies star Nicholas Pooran and the dangerous Rishabh Pant.
The Delhi chase was off to a flying start with opener Abishek Porel plundering 51 runs off 36 deliveries.
