BJP Embarks On Exercise To Accommodate Non-MLAs In State-Run Corporations

Mid growing unease among party workers, the BJP's top leadership held a high-level meeting on Wednesday to discuss appointments to various state-run corporations, boards, and planning bodies.

The meeting, attended by national general secretary Tarun Chugh, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, state president Manmohan Samal, and Deputy Chief Ministers K V Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, aimed to address concerns over the delay in filling key political positions.

It has been eight months since the BJP assumed power in the state, and many aspirant non-legislators had been anticipating appointments to these posts. However, the delay in these decisions, coupled with the pending announcement of the state unit president, had begun to impact party activities.

Growing dissatisfaction within the party ranks had become evident, with murmurs about slow government functioning gaining traction.
