SuperSport and CT City hold each other to a draw

SuperSport United and Cape Town City were called to hit the ground running after holding each other to a draw in the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday night.

This meant that SuperSport remained 15th on the Betway Premiership standings with 35 points, and City, who have played two games more.

With the season in its final stretch, SuperSport and City find themselves flirting with relegation, with fewer than 10 games remaining. Given their form of late, it will not be surprising that both teams had new-look technical teams in charge.

The new men in charge - Andre Arendse for SuperSport on an interim basis and Dogo For City - did not have an ideal start, as their sides played to a stalemate.

SuperSport will no doubt be the more disappointed side with the result, as they were at home and created the most scoring chances in a game played with caution.
