Strategies for Grade 12 exams success and beyond

The pivotal role these assessment marks play in the future of one's career trajectory is a daunting thought and is often questioned within reason. These marks have the capacity to permit or deny university entry and are also meant to serve as an indication of one's intellectual capacity. The system does not allow for those that do not have the capacity to regurgitate information or have the skills to articulate and express information through writing under the exam environment.

Nevertheless, it is the system that many of us have to pursue to achieve post-secondary qualifications, skills and expertise and to develop holistically, personally and professionally. Despite many of us being fully aware of our lack of capacity to excel under pressure and an intense environment, we have to soldier on and perform at optimal levels at these examinations.

The realities are stark, and hindering should one not meet the requirements to qualify for the National Senior Certificate. The Second Chance Programme offers support to learners who don't receive the National Senior Certificate by allowing exam candidates to rewrite the exams to complete the Grade 12 qualifications. If you are under the age of 21, you can return to high school, college and private tuition for the educational support that you require.
