THERE was anger in the away end as Vale were thumped 4-0 at Bolton to drop to second-from-bottom of the table.

'Valiants could have done more in heavy Bolton loss'

Garrity battles for the ball in the loss to Bolton.

Darren Moore's side started the game well and had chances through Connor Hall and Ben Garrity but collapsed once Amario Cozier-Duberry put the hosts in front on 31 minutes.

Xavier Simmons made it 2-0 five minutes later, after a corner had only been half-cleared, and the hosts had further chances before the outstanding Cozier-Duberry fired into the roof of the net from a tight angle for the third on 68 minutes.

Kyle Dempsey added the fourth four minutes later before a section of travelling fans chanted against manager Moore.

The result leaves Vale four points adrift in the relegation zone ahead of back-to-back home league games against Wycombe and Plymouth.
