FED-UP families impacted by water supply problems have been told engineers are drawing up a permanent solution.

Severn Trent is also donating free outdoor play equipment to children to say 'sorry' for problems in and around Brown Edge.

It comes as community leaders say the area suffered 11 'major' incidents varying from no supply, low pressure or discoloured water since January last year. An outage affected Brown Edge last week as part of wider problems impacted the people living in the ST6, ST7 and ST9 postcode areas.

It also resulted in St Anne's Primary School having to send children home early. Families in Endon and Norton have also reported issues.
