Moore: We've right blend of old heads and young players

DARREN Moore believes he has a "wonderful" blend of experience and youth in his squad as he looks to earn Port Vale a fourth win of the League One season.

The Valiants boss is up against Dave Challinor's Stockport County on Monday night and is happy with the mix among his group of players at Vale Park.

"When I look at the group in terms of units there is a wonderful blend of experienced players and youthful players that are making their way in the game," he said at the pre-match press conference.

"With the goalkeepers you've got Ben Amos and Marko Marosi and then Joe Gauci with that youth in there.

"The defensive unit in terms of an experienced player like Ben Heneghan and Connor Hall and then the likes of a younger one in Kyle John and Jaheim Headly.

"Then there's young Jack Shorrock in that department.
