SONY'S NEW EARBUDS STAKE THEIR CLAIM FOR BEST-IN-CLASS CROWN

WHEN Sony claims it's released a pair of earbuds that have reclaimed the best noise-cancelling crown, everyone should sit up and listen.

Although there are some sensational earbuds out there at the moment, when it comes to the best in class, it's been more or less a straight fight between Sony's 1000X series and Apple's AirPods Pro... and with this week's WF-1000XM6 models, Sony says it's edged back in the lead.

With four mics on each earbud, Sony reckons there is a 25% reduction in noise over the previous models in the new design.

It's also claiming better call quality, a boost to Bluetooth performance, and audio features co-designed with some of the world's best sound engineers.
