A RESEARCH team at Keele University is embarking on a new study to look at how family carers and healthcare professionals can work together to support people with dementia.

It will particularly look at how carers are involved in the support for those who are living with dementia and also have additional chronic health conditions.

The research will, in addition to helping families provide more effective care, also look to reduce demand for GP appointments and hospital care for chronic secondary conditions.
