Talovierov thanks team-mates for help after debut out of position at right-back

STOKE City debutant Maksym Talovierov has thanked his teammates for helping him through his first match - in a new position.
The 25-year-old centre-half has had to be patient since joining from Plymouth Argyle in the summer, suffering an injury in preseason which kept him out of action for the first few weeks of term - and behind Ben Wilmot, Bosun Lawal and Ash Phillips in the pecking order.
A spot opened up for him to come into the team at Portsmouth on Saturday but it was at right-back to cover suspended Junior Tchamadeu.
Wilmot has played occasionally in that role before but Mark Robins put his trust in Talovierov to stand in and support right winger Million Manhoef, right.
