Engineer slams city council and Severn Trent over delay
AN engineer has hit out at Severn Trent and the city council - after becoming embroiled in a four-year water leak row.
Stephen Bailey says water first began emerging from the pavement outside his house in 2021.
But the 40-year-old says neither Stoke-on-Trent City Council or Severn Trent is willing to accept responsibility for the leak which leaves water running onto the steps.
Stephen, of Sneyd Green, said: “Four years ago, water started coming up through my outside steps. The council tried to say it was coming from my garden. They tried sending me fines, saying that I was dispensing water onto the highway.
