A DRUNKEN yob went on a booze-fuelled tirade against his neighbour before smashing up a shop.

Hayden Brady assaulted his neighbour who is of Asian heritage on October 18 last year.

The 21-year-old then brandished a bottle as he damaged a Leek shop's Lotto display and delivered a flurry of racist remarks to the owner.

Prosecutor Jo Fox told North Staffordshire Justice Centre: “He assaulted a neighbour, grabbing him by the throat and threatening to burn his house down. He also shouted a racist term at the owners of the convenience shop.
