35-year-old 'who wanted a brawl' seen throwing 3 missiles during Hanley riots
A DAD-of-seven has dodged jail ‘by the skin of his teeth’ for his role in the Hanley riots.
Mohammed Iqbal threw three missiles and was seen in Town Road, Potteries Way, Mayer Street, and Broad Street.
The 35-year-old was arrested seven months later. He had messages bragging about his involvement and a photo of an injured protester on the floor.
Matthew Ness, prosecuting, told Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court: “The defendant is seen on CCTV footage in Town Road. His group ran away from Potteries Way through an alleyway towards Mayer Street and he threw a missile towards Potteries Way, where officers were stood forming a barrier between protesters and counter-protesters.
