Council to buy back £1 house

The terrace had restrictions on future sale

A COUNCIL is to buy back a terrace house it previously sold for £1.

Stoke-on-Trent City Council has authorised the purchase of the address in Rutland Street, Hanley, from the current owner.

The two-bedroom property was one of the properties once sold for £1 and the city council had first option to buy it if the owner decided to sell and move on. It is not known how much the council has paid for the property.
