A CARAVAN park can now open all year round.

Planners at Staffordshire Moorlands District Council had attempted to stop Rudyard Vale Caravan Park being allowed to open all year after complaints about possible increased noise and traffic, and the loss of privacy.

But councillors have approved the planning application.

They have also allowed larger caravans on the 40-pitch site.

The previous planning rule meant the site could only open for 10 months every year.

Councillor Jo Cox spoke on behalf of objecting residents.

She said: "As you can imagine in the summer, people are sitting out at night and are in high spirits.
