Brehaut hails character as Leek battle to away reward

A MOMENT to savour from the returning Louis Potts was the highlight for Leek Town as they salvaged a point at Hebburn Town in dramatic fashion.
The striker retired because of work and family commitments in the summer but has been brought back into the fold and he made his mark in Saturday's chaotic 3-3 draw at Hebburn Town.
In a topsy-turvy clash, Leek went 3-2 down with two minutes of normal time to play, only for substitute Potts to crack in a leveller five minutes into stoppage time.
Manager Josh Brehaut explained: "Pottsy retired in the summer at the grand old age at 29 because he was struggling to commit but in the last few weeks he was in touch, said he was missing it, and we came to an arrangement that works for both of us.
"He has hardly trained, he's not match-fit at all. He came on for 25 minutes and ruffled a few feathers which we know he does. He gave the centre-halves a tough time and in the last minute he popped up with a volley after a bit of a melee in the box. You can imagine 20-odd players in the box and he pops up 12 to 14 yards out on the volley and lashes the ball into the back of the net."
