£8.7m centre makes history!

'Treasure trove' now officially a museum

A 'TREASURE trove of heritage' in Staffordshire has become an accredited museum - just months after opening to the public.

The Staffordshire History Centre, which opened in November last year, hosts a collection that recounts centuries of the county's history and heritage.

The service has received accredited status after:

■Showing excellent care in managing its exhibits;

■Providing excellent customer service;

■Its proven relevance to Staffordshire's wider community.
