RSP empowers peripheral women through skill training

Silai and Gram Utthan, the ini- tiative is designed to offer sus- tainable livelihoods by equip- ping women with valuable tai- loring skills and production opportunities.

“I come from a very low-income family, and making ends meet has always been a challenge. This training has given me new hope. I dream of becoming self-reliant and supporting my family so that we can live with dignity and stability,” says Rosmila Majhi, a 36year-old participant in the Sewing Training Programme organized by the Corporate — Social Responsibility (CSR) department of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP).

This flagship CSR initiative aims to empower underprivileged women from peripheral communities by providing them with tailoring skills and establishing a Training-Cum-Production Centre (TCPC) at Jalda Resettlement Colony.
