THE KOLIN CERTUS AI LEARNS HOW YOU LIKE IT COOL
The Philippine Star
|November 06, 2025
Your air conditioner is supposed to be a source of comfort, not a tug of war of settings: too cold, too warm, too breezy. In the Philippines, where temperatures fluctuate between 22 degrees to 45 degrees, it's tough to keep adjusting your temperatures on the fly, especially when you're rudely awoken at 4AM because it's just too cold.
The problem with most air conditioners is that they're obedient but not exactly smart. You set the temperature, and they just, well ... follow. The Kolin CERTUS AI, on the other hand, actually learns. It's a Full DC Inverter air conditioner with a builtin Al system that adapts to your habits, your room, and even your local weather to keep you comfortable — automatically.
These new air conditioning units have sensors that track the differences between both indoor and outdoor temperatures so it can allocate just enough power to adequately cool your room. In other words, if your outdoor environment turns from sunny to rainy, CERTUS Al detects this and adjusts the room’s temperature so the indoors don’t get too cold.
At the heart of it is Kolin’s ECO+ Al Mode, which uses reinforcement learning — the same principle that helps machines “train” themselves to get better over time. It notices when you tweak the temperature, tracks the conditions inside and outside your home, and figures out how to keep you cool while using the least amount of power. This feature can cut energy use by as much as 30% compared to standard inverter systems, which is no small thing in a country where electricity rates are among the highest in Asia.
