Rondae awaits MRI findings
The Philippine Star
|December 08, 2025
Rondae Hollis Jefferson flew out of Tlagan, Isabela, on a private jet sent by Meralco chairman Manny V. Pangilinan early yesterday morning and went straight to a hospital for an MRI to determine how severe was the foot injury he sustained during the Bolts’ 93-91 win over Macau in EASL at the Capital Arena the night before.
Jefferson wanted to take a bus from Ilagan to Manila right after the contest but the 10-hour ride would’ve been testy with his injury. The Bolts were scheduled to fly back to Manila at 12:30 p.m. yesterday and Jefferson could’ve taken an 11 a.m. flight but MVP came to the rescue and provided a private jet for an earlier takeoff. Jefferson was on the plane with his girlfriend and Meralco’s head physical therapist Benjie Palarca.
It happened in the third quarter with the Bolts sitting on a comfortable lead. Jefferson elevated for a rebound and landed on 7-6 Sam Deguara’s foot.
