PNP: Quiboloy sex accusers to surface

Justice will prevail, says rape victim

Two alleged victims of sexual abuse by Apollo Quiboloy are willing to surface and testify against the controversial leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), the Philippine National Police (PNP) said yesterday.

The victims, whose identities are being withheld by the PNP for their protection, were among alleged victims of sex slavery of Quiboloy, who is facing charges of qualified sexual trafficking and child abuse before the Pasig City and Quezon City courts.

Citing her conversation with Davao City police chief Col. Hansel Marantan, PNP public information officer Col. Jean Fajardo said the two victims had signified their intention to hold Quiboloy accountable for the ordeal they suffered at the hands of the man who introduced himself to his followers as the "appointed son of God." "There are two who are willing to execute sworn statements," Fajardo said in Filipino over dwPM.

The other victims whom Fajardo did not identify are hesitant to pursue cases against Quiboloy as their parents are still staying in the 30-hectare KOJC compound, where the religious sect leader hid before he was arrested by policemen in a massive manhunt that lasted more than two weeks.
