Phl holds simultaneous earthquake drills

In preparation for the “Big One” or a 7.4-magnitude temblor, the Philippines conducted yesterday simultaneous earthquake drills to educate, prepare and protect the public during disasters.
The government-initiated nationwide earthquake drill was held at around 9 a.m.
Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro led government officials in the ceremonial pressing of the button that signaled the start of the first quarter of Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drills (NSED) at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City.
Offices of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) participated in the earthquake drill.
