Marcos leads groundbreaking of SoKor farm machine factory

President Marcos yesterday led the groundbreaking of a South Korean company complex engaged in manufacturing farm equipment in Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija.
The Korea Agricultural Machinery Industry Complex (KAMIC) is expected to boost local farm mechanization and productivity, and lessen reliance on imported equipment. It is the first large-scale agricultural machinery factory complex in the country.
Marcos said that KAMIC's advanced machinery would modernize local farm operations and ease farmers' labor.
"The KAMIC is the first agricultural machinery production complex in the country. Its purpose is to strengthen our capacity to develop and build farm machinery," Marcos said in a speech at the Kalikid Golf Course in Cabanatuan City.
