Gov't Offers Over 10,400 MW for 4th Green Energy Auction

The government is reinforcing the country's power supply with the launch of the fourth green energy auction (GEA-4), offering 10,478 megawatts (MW) of renewables and storage capacities.
Under the terms of reference (TOR) issued yesterday, the Department of Energy (DOE) is set to offer 9,378 MW of capacity from ground-mounted solar, roof-mounted solar, floating solar and onshore wind projects.
GEA-4 also marks the first auction round to integrate energy storage systems, with the DOE offering an additional 1,100 MW of solar capacity paired with ESS.
