GO NEGOSYO, NIA TO STRENGTHEN PARTNERSHIP FOR FOOD SECURITY

The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) is set to enter into an agreement with Go Negosyo which will facilitate land lease arrangements that harness the Philippines private sector and put to productive use the land under NIA'S administration.

The agreement will be formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement between Go Negosyo and NIA.

Go Negosyo founder Joey Concepcion said that the agreement will be a significant milestone as it will be an example of how the country can achieve food security and farm productivity when government and private sector are mobilized to support farmers with capital, knowledge, and access to markets.

The arrangement with NIA is seen to boost the production of high-value commodities as the NIA landholdings, said its administrator Engr. Eddie Guillen, are ideal for growing different types of crops.
