Duterte-aligned rallyists feast on crocodile lechon, cake
The Philippine Star
|September 22, 2025
People in this city who participated in yesterday’s rally marking the declaration of martial law feasted on 100 roasted cows, a huge crocodile-shaped cake and a roasted or lechon crocodile in Rizal Park, now named San Pedro Square, where the rally was mainly held.

Vice President Sara Duterte said the management of the Davao Crocodile Park called her up and pledged one roasted crocodile for yesterday's protest and prayer rally in the city.
Phillip Marco Dizon, proprietor of Davao Crocodile Park, confirmed they were sending one crocodile lechon as their contribution.
"But we cannot compete with the 100 lechon baka that was also intended for the rallyists. We can only give one crocodile lechon," Dizon said.
The Vice President's friend reportedly also donated a four-meter-long crocodile-shaped cake, which was also distributed to the people.
