March 07, 2025

In yet another leadership change within the Marcos administration, Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Ivan Uy has resigned from his post, the third Cabinet official to step down in less than a month.

- Alexis Romero

President Marcos accepted Uy's resignation yesterday, Presidential Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said in a text message.

"An OIC (officer-in-charge) will fill the position until the President appoints a secretary," Castro said.

She did not reply to media queries on the reason behind Uy's resignation.

Officials and personnel of the DICT appeared clueless about the resignation of Uy, with one calling it "fake news."
