Alsons’ P3-B debt program secures high credit rating

Alcantara-led Alsons Consolidated Resources Inc. (ACR) has earned a high credit score from Philippine Ratings Services Corp. (PhilRatings) for its P3-billion commercial paper program.
The local debt watcher assigned an issue credit rating of PRS Aa with a stable outlook on ACR's commercial papers, citing the company's strategic partnerships, diversified portfolio, expansion efforts and consistent profitability.
A commercial paper is a short-term, unsecured debt instrument used to fund short-term financial obligations and is typically issued by companies with high credit ratings.
