For 'pocketing P7 million' bribe

- By EMMANUEL TUPAS

The officers — Lt. Adolfo Mendoza, SM/Sgts. Aladin Orale and Ronnie Vergoles, M/Sgt. Krizzia Barola and Pat. Arnel Fontillas Jr. — accused Estolano of grave misconduct, dishonesty and conduct unbecoming of a police officer before the National Police Commission.

The five asked the Napolcom to dismiss Estolano from the service.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Orale said their allegations stemmed from an anti-carnapping and patrol operation on June 13, wherein they arrested a certain J.J. Javier and his driver in Parañaque.

The officers had pulled over Javier's vehicle, which was equipped with blinkers and had no license plate, for violations of Republic Act 4136, the Land Transportation and Traffic Code.

Orale said Javier resisted and even called several government officials to bail him out.
