KCCI urges immediate intervention to assist stranded Hajj Pilgrims

The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCC&I) has issued an urgent appeal to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, seeking immediate intervention to assist approximately 3,000 Hajj pilgrims who are currently unable to travel to Saudi Arabia due to disrupted flight operations from Srinagar Airport.
The KCC&I expressed deep concern over the distress faced by the intending pilgrims, whose travel plans were halted following the cancellation of flights amid heightened tensions and recent hostilities between India and Pakistan. With a ceasefire now officially announced, the Chamber believes this presents a crucial opportunity for the government to act swiftly and ensure that the pilgrims can fulfill their religious duties without further delay.
