JKCCC urges govt to release pending payments ahead of Eid-ul-Adha

The Jammu and Kashmir Contractors Coordination Committee (JKCCC), led by Chairman Ghulam Jeelani Purza, has appealed to the J&K Government for the immediate release of outstanding payments dating from April 1, 2025, citing an escalating financial crisis and the approaching Eid-ul-Adha.
In a press statement, Purza stressed that contractors across the Union Territory have not received payments for completed works under key government schemes including the Jal Jeevan Mission and Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY). He pointed out that no payments have been made since August 2024, despite assurances of timely disbursement under these flagship missions.
