World Doctors’ Day is celebrated annually on July 1st to honor the contributions of physicians and doctors worldwide.

The day recognizes the dedication, expertise, and compassion of medical professionals in providing healthcare services. World Doctors’ Day was first observed in 1988 by the World Medical Association (WMA) to commemorate the contributions of doctors to society. This day is an opportunity to raise awareness about the doctor’s role in our daily lives - a day when people across the country acknowledge the commitment and dedication of the medical and health care fraternity towards society. Doctor’s Day is the time to pay tribute to the selfless service and expertise of doctors, who play a vital role in maintaining the health and well-being of individuals and communities worldwide. It is a special and an ideal opportunity to remind people of the critical role doctor’s play in our lives. It is also a time for doctors to reflect on their own careers, realize their responsibility they bear and redirect themselves onto an ethical path of healing those in need.
