To mark the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, commemorated as Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh, the District Administration Doda organised a special awareness and benefit saturation camp under DhartiAabaJanjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA)—India’s largest tribal empowerment campaign, here in the Town Hall.
The nationwide 15-day campaign is being observed from 15th to 30th June 2025 across the country, including the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
The event was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh and witnessed enthusiastic participation from tribal community members, students and officials of line departments.
Addressing the gathering, the DC highlighted the life and contribution of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, who played a historic role in safeguarding tribal rights and identity.
