Vikravandi DMK MLA dies at 69 due to liver illness

VIKRAVANDI DMK legislator N Pugazhenthi died due to prolonged liver illness at a hospital in Villupuram on Saturday.
He was 69. Pugazhenthi is survived by his wife Krishnammal, son Selvakumar, and daughters Selvi, Shanti, and Sumathi. The MLA, who was elected from the Vikravandi Assembly constituency in 2021, was in the midst of a poll campaign along with party president and Chief Minister MK Stalin on Friday when he suddenly swooned. He was immediately rushed to the Government Medical College Hospital in Villupuram where he died around 10.35 am on Saturday.
