Key organisations like the Gopalakrishnan and Deshpande Centers help researchers transition into entrepreneurs. The IIT Madras Incubation Cell and specialised incubators focusing on rural tech, cyber-physical, med-tech, bio-tech and so on, provide mentorship, funding, and industry connections.

Gang poses as RBI officials, loots ₹7 cr from cash vehicle
IN a daring heist executed in broad daylight in Bengaluru on Wednesday afternoon, five to six criminals, posing as Reserve Bank of India (RBI) officials, intercepted a cash-in-transit vehicle (CITV) carrying ₹7.11 crore and escaped with the money after abandoning the vehicle and its four staff members.
