Vellore civic workers stage protest, demand salary hike & regularisation

OVER 30 civic workers associated with the Vellore Corporation on Monday protested near Anna Kalaiarangam, demanding a salary hike, provision of provident fund, and job regularisation.
Speaking to TNIE, civic workers said they receive around ₹400 a day and claimed that they are entitled to around ₹705. They also pointed out that messages regarding the provident fund deductions are not being received
