Modi to Relaunch Amaravati Projects Worth ₹58K-cr

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Andhra Pradesh on May 2 to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate a series of developmental projects worth ₹58,000 crore in the state's greenfield capital, Amaravati.

AMARAVATI: According to a press release from the chief minister's office, this will be one of the largest single-day infrastructure announcements for the state, covering 94 projects with a total estimated value of ₹57,962 crore.
As part of Amaravati's greenfield capital reconstruction, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation for 74 state-level projects worth ₹49,000 crore. These will include construction of the legislative assembly, secretariat, high court buildings, and judicial residential quarters. Additionally, he will lay the foundation for nine central government projects worth ₹5,028 crore. These include a Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) missile testing centre at Nagayalanka in Krishna district (₹1,459 crore), a ₹100 crore Unity Mall in Visakhapatnam, the Guntakal-Mallappa Gate rail overbridge (₹293 crore), and six national highway projects collectively worth ₹3,680 crore.
