Meghalaya Sees Red Over 'Tarnishing State's Image'

AFTER a breakthrough in Indore honeymoon groom Raja Raghuvanshi's mysterious death case, people in Meghalaya are now demanding an apology, not just from the couple's families but also from a section of media and social media users for "tarnishing" the image of the state that relies heavily on tourism.

AFTER a breakthrough in Indore honeymoon groom Raja Raghuvanshi's mysterious death case, people in Meghalaya are now demanding an apology, not just from the couple's families but also from a section of media and social media users for "tarnishing" the image of the state that relies heavily on tourism. Meghalaya minister Alexander Laloo Hek on Tuesday heaped praise on the state police.

At the same time, he demanded an apology from the families of Raja and Sonam Raghuvanshi. Sonam (24) had allegedly hired killers to eliminate Raja during their honeymoon in Meghalaya. The body was later found in a gorge.
