Face taping promises a quick snatched look, but experts say it's all stick and no substance
Beauty TikTok is taken by the face-taping frenzy-adhesive strips stretching skin tight for a sharper jawline and smoother wrinkles.
It's touted as a wallet-friendly Botox dupe, but experts say: proceed with caution. “Face tapes are just as adhesive strips applied to temporarily smoothen wrinkles and lift sagging skin,” explains Dr Chiranjiv Chhabra, Chief Dermatologist and Founder of Alive Wellness Clinics. “The tape physically restricts facial movement, creating a quick, visible tightening effect. But the results only last until the tape is removed and don't address deeper ageing concerns.”
