Kakinada Launches 'Yoga Andhra' Campaign

KAKINADA District Collector Shan Mohan Sagili on Wednesday launched the 'Yoga Andhra-2025' campaign in Kakinada, announcing a month-long awareness drive from May 21 to June 21 to promote the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of Yoga.
The initiative, aimed at reaching every section of society—from urban centers to rural hamlets—will culminate with International Yoga Day on June 21. The Collector said the district administration has planned a series of activities, including workshops, awareness rallies, marathons, rangoli competitions, and school-level contests.
Speaking at the district-level orientation programme held at the Indoor Stadium of the Kakinada District Sports Ground, Shan Mohan Sagili said special trainers have been appointed at mandal and ward levels to ensure broad outreach.
Shan Mohan Sagili highlighted the importance of community involvement, stating that local MLAs, MLCs, and public representatives would actively take part.
