LISTING the Narendra Modi government's achievements as it completed 11 years in office, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh highlighted the government's push towards 'Make in India' in the defence sector.
He said around 100 countries have chosen Indian defence products for their armed forces.
Singh underlined that the annual defence production, which was around тВ╣40,000 crore in 2014, has crossed the record figure of тВ╣1.30 lakh crore.
Defence exports, which were тВ╣686 crore in 2014, has skyrocketed to тВ╣23,622 crore in FY 2024-25.
"We have set a target of тВ╣1.75 lakh crore defence production this year and тВ╣3 lakh crore by 2029.
